Joy In the Journey: Calvary Chapel Married Couples' Retreat

May 18-20, 2018, Lake Tahoe, NV

Marriage, as God intended it to be, is a reflection of our relationship with Christ. It is no wonder the institution of marriage is under attack!n Our culture today is trying to change the way that we think about the sacred institution of marriage. Knowing the importance that God places on marriage and family means knowing the God Who created it in the beginning.

Even the strongest marriages can travel a difficult road, but as we draw close to Him we form a three-fold cord that is not easily broken. Marriage is a journey to oneness: oneness with each other and with the One Who created us. You can find joy in the midst of your journey as you learn to apply the principles God intended to equip you for success.

It doesn't matter how long you have been married, you can glean practical and spiritual insight to fan your marriage into a flame of light that shines brightly to your children, grandchildren and our darkened world. Make your plans to join us as we learn to apply the principles of God's Word, in our journey toward finding real joy in our marriage relationships.

The retreat is held at the beautiful Zephyr Point Conference Center, located in Zephyr Cove, NV, on the shores of Lake Tahoe. The conference grounds are right on the water, with a beach and swimming area. The deluxe hotel rooms feature queen beds and a private bath. The cost of the rooms are $425 per couple (married couples only), and a day pass is available for $135 per couple. Zephyr Point offers either gluten-free or dairy-free meals at no extra charge. On Saturday, we will be having plenty of free time so that you and your spouse can enjoy all the beauty and activities that Lake Tahoe has to offer. There are hiking and biking trails, beaches, shopping in nearby South Lake Tahoe, and much more.

If you have any questions regarding the retreat, email Tricia Kent.

Retreat Speakers

Jeff Dietz

Jeff has been on staff at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, CA, as an associate pastor for 18 years. Through the years he has had the blessing of overseeing, teaching and mentoring the body at Harvest. He has encouraged others through mentoring and Bible teaching across the lifespan of the church, including children, seniors and bereavement ministries. Jeff's greatest joy is encouraging others to grow in the grace and joy he and Trish continue to experience. They will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary in May. They love camping and bike riding, but especially spending time with their three married children and three grandsons!

Trish Dietz

Trish is a teacher for the Virtue Women's Study at Harvest. She is also a guest speaker for various women's events and retreats. She has no greater joy than to see women grow in their understanding and application of what the Bible teaches. Her anointed teaching was a blessing to our ladies last year at our women's retreat. We are excited to bring them both back up the mountain to minister to our couples!
